"The goal was to save labor and help the bottom line," Warren White said of his invention. The principle was simple. Take the working are to the cattle rather that the other way around. Stress is eliminated on both staff and cattle when processing in the alley next to the pen. With MobilCattleDoc, feedyards have the ability to reimplant, weigh and perform other processing at a specific pen, anywhere in the yard.

LEAVE THEM AT HOME
After spending two decades in feedlot construcion and management, Warren White from Hereford, TX., decided there had to be a better way to reprocess cattle. His solution came to fruition in January, when the first of his mobile units was completed. Manufactured by Top of Texas, White got the chance to really demonstrate its versalitity at the Beef Capital of the World cattle-working contest in Hereford, TX.

The unit features a 12-ft. by 24-ft. trailer with an 8-ft. tall, lighted working space. It can be equipped with any popular processing chute and scale system. It contains its own hot and cold water system, and an electrical outlet for a refrigerator and other needs. It can be equipped with a satellite system to record and transmit cattle data to an office or offsite computer.

The convertible cattle handling system features a curved holding area and can be set up in a matter of minutes. Tractor pulled, the unit is raised or lowered via the tractor's hydraulic system. When parked at a specific pen, cattle are herded into the alley about 100 feet behind the MobilCattleDoc.

The cattle handling system is then set up and cattle are run through the system for reimplanting or mass treatment. After treatment, the cattle work out the trailer door directly into their pen.

The unit is available for purchase or can be set up on a three-, four- or five- year lease program. Contact Warren White at 806-344-2144 or 806-363-6491 or by email at wrwhite@wtrt.net for more information.
